WASHINGTON, DC – On the 17th anniversary of September the 11th, In Defense of Christians (IDC), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for Christians and religious minorities in the Middle East, calls on the U.S. Government to remember the victims of Islamic extremism here at home and to continually fight back against the evil influence that drives individuals to act violently against the innocent.

9/11 is a sobering reminder that radical ideologies still threaten the Middle East causing horrific human suffering, just as Islamic extremists did in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania seventeen years ago.

“Religious freedom is a human right, and defending international religious freedom is a noble American value that we take pride advocating for,” stated IDC Executive Director, Philippe Nassif.

With prayers for the families of the victims, and prayers for the peace of the war torn Middle East, IDC continues to strive for a world where all can live free of radical hatred and violence.
