As a clinician and a humanitarian, Dr. Phillip Salem has 46 years of experience in cancer medicine and research. During the period of 1971 to 1986, Dr. Salem directed the cancer program at the American University of Beirut. Dr. Salem currently serves as Director of the Cancer Research Program at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston. He is also Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Salem is a member of many nationally and internationally recognized cancer societies, including the World Health Organization Expert Committee on Cancer, the American Association of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
