Dear Friend of Mideast Christians,

Tomorrow is the LAST day to make a Tax-Deductible donation and make it count for 2014!

We NEED your help more than ever. We want to raise awareness about Christians in the Mideast, but we can’t do it without your help!

The news from the Middle East is
devastating. Christians and other minorities are being persecuted and attacked by extremists for their faith.

These extremists are vandalizing and burning churches. In places like Mosul, Iraq, church bells that have announced the birth of Our Lord every Christmas for more than 1600 years have been silenced! Entire cities and villages have been completely emptied of their ancient Christian populations. This is a tragedy of untold proportions!

Sadly, this Christmas will be a time of fear and persecution for our persecuted brothers and sisters in the Middle East. With winter approaching, children are going without shoes and sanitation. Entire families are struggling for survival with little food and clothing along with poor or nonexistent shelter.

In Defense of Christians (IDC) has heard the call of our Christian brothers and sisters. IDC is advocating for the protection and preservation of their ancient Middle Eastern communities. We are dedicated to raising awareness about their plight and advocating on their behalf in the United States.

Can you help IDC with a year-end gift? Tomorrow is the last day to make a gift that counts for 2014!

In September IDC held an historic Summit in Washington, DC. Five Patriarchs of the Eastern Churches gathered for the first time on American soil for an ecumenical prayer service and a meeting with the President. Over 1,500 people traveled to this first-ever conference from 24 states and 15 countries to hear from religious leaders, Members of Congress (over 30 were in attendance), activists, and policymakers.

In the months following the Summit, IDC has been organizing committees across the country to promote awareness locally and
nationally. We are also working with aid organizations and advocating for substantive policy solutions.

We need your support to carry on this critical work! Can you help us?

With your Tax-Deductible donation we can continue with this critical work and help provide some of the urgent relief that is necessary!

IDC has funded scholarships for Iraqi Christian refugees now living in Lebanon to attend the St. Georges Elementary school in the town of Qulayaa-Marjeyoun Lebanon that is under the Management of St. Joseph Nuns De Leon.

With your support, IDC will be able to provide more assistance to Iraqi Christian refugees.

Thank you so much for your support and we wish you and your family all the best this holy season.

With sincerest gratitude,

Toufic Baaklini
President
