Dear friends,

I write to you as we are preparing for IDC’s upcoming 2017 Summit taking place this October 24-26, where advocates will join with Christian leaders, both American and Middle Eastern, and advocate for a number of issues crucial to the survival of Christianity in the Middle East.

IDC is working on 5 resolutions this year which work to stabilize Lebanon and Syria, deliver desperately needed aid to victims of genocide in Iraq and Syria, correct a historic injustice by recognizing the Armenian genocide, hold American allies who persecute Christians and other minorities accountable and identify individuals or groups who supported ISIS’ campaign of terror and genocide against Christians.

As the fate of the Christian communities in the Middle East hangs in the balance, it is imperative to see a strong push from both the Middle Eastern Christian community in the United States and all Americans of goodwill. By seeing a strong grassroots push from various communities, we can show a united front dedicated to the well-being of those who desperately need help.

Senators, representatives, patriarchs of various denominations and other spiritual leaders will be attending. These issues are vital and it is up to us to advocate for the U.S. government to stand with Middle Eastern Christians.

I look forward to seeing you at our summit.

Thank you and God bless.
